I had a great time photographing Kara and Ian on their wedding day. It was held at a private estate at the base of Camelback Mountain. The
details in this house where amazing and were complimented by some beautiful flower arrangements. Kara and Ian were so relax and up for just
about anything! Her laid back attitude really shines through in our pictures! Congratulations guys – I wish you many years of laughter together!
We’ve just finished our prize drawing from the June bridal show and the lucky winners are:

I just made a great new video of Becky and Tudors wedding! All this month we are offering free videos to any couple who books with Desert Trends Photography. These are great for sharing on Facebook, your wedding website, on your iPhone, and on your old fashioned TV (remember those?)
Congratulation to Rebeca and Christopher who tied the knot in Carefree, Arizona last Saturday! Their church ceremony was followed by an intimate celebration with friends and family at the Boulders Resort. Luckily the 40MPH winds and rain never happened. Here are some of the highlights of the day:
Amazing flower arrangements created by Positively Petals with peacock feathers and white roses.
Jacqueline and Taurean won a drawing for a free engagement session with us from the East Valley Bridal Affair. So we headed over to the Scottsdale Civic Plaza to take some fun pictures. Each bridal show we do, we like to give away a free engagement session. It a great way for a couple to see how we work and helps them get relaxed in from of the camera.
We had an amazing time at this years Bridal Fashion Debut at the Phoenix Convention Center. Not only did we talk with over 400 brides, we also got some great photo “un-booth” pictures from Polite In Public. If you were one of the lucky brides in attendance, be sure to check the bag you received at the door for a special discount coupon good for money off a Desert Trends photography package!
And, If you couldn’t make the show, be sure to check out the one in June.
Today I was notified by WeddingWire.com that we have won the 2010 Bride’s Choice Award. Many thanks to all the brides (and grooms!) who have made this possible. Without your great reviews and referrals, Desert Trends Photography would not be around today!

So, today i’m posting some of my favorite pictures from recent engagement sessions. An engagement session is important so you can get to know how your photographer works before your wedding day. You’ll be more comfortable in front of their camera and you’ll get better photographs because of it. A good photographer will also be able to look at your engagement photos and then make suggestions to improve how you pose in your wedding pictures.
